CONSELF v2.10.0 – Up to date with the best solvers

CONSELF, the official provider of CAE software on the cloud, announces the release of v2.10.0 of its application. This version includes a major update of the solvers embedded in the application: both OpenFOAM and Code Aster have been updated to the most recent version released by their developers. OpenFOAM v5.0 was released on 26th of July 2017, whilst Code Aster v13.4 on 13th of July 2017. Giving the major updates included in both simulation tools, CONSELF commitment into including these solvers in the web application we provide to our customers was our major priority and we managed to achieve this result in about 2 months time.

OPENFOAM updates

This new release of OpenFOAM includes a number of feature our user can take advantage of. In particular:

  1. Improved multiphase solver through improved inflow/outflow boundary conditions; better restart and limiter to stabilize the interfacial pressure
  2. Improved hexahedral mesher to reduce storage usage and produce even bigger meshes

Beside this, our CFD experts keep improving the numeric schemes automatically chosen by our platform, making your simulations more and more stable. In particular multiphase and compressible solvers went through a complete re-design of their parameters, with an estimated 20% increased stability.

Code Aster updates

Compared to previous versions of Code Aster, this one contained a number of bug fixes, in particular related to management of big meshes, storage and RAM resources. CONSELF team, meanwhile, introduced a more clear system to detect the order of the simulation, and an automatic procedure that reduce the overall failure in FEM simulations.

CONSELF wants to make state of the art, cutting edge technology, available to every professional in the globe.

CFD & FEM simulation software is a very powerful tool, with its adoption optimization and innovation can be achieved in every field. To make this instrument accessible to everyone means lowering costs, but mainly to develop an infrastructure that favours a super-easy adoption by market new entrants.

CONSELF is highly committed and will pursue this goal working side by side with professional and industries to define the best strategies and solutions.
